“Due to the large number of incoming applications about the increase in the cost of materials in the construction market and related markets, FAS Russia decided to expand the list of audited manufacturers and suppliers of building materials operating in the Russian Federation,” the FAS said.
The monitoring results showed that at present, conditions are developing in the domestic market that allow manufacturers to reduce prices in certain markets, the service said.
“The persistence of high prices for products leads to a destabilization of the situation both in adjacent markets and in the consumer sector,” they stressed.
At the end of August, the FAS began anti-cartel inspections of valve manufacturers in Russia; the department has data that may indicate signs of a price agreement.
