Takayuki Fuse, president of Kirin Brewery, a major beer company, died at a hospital in Tokyo on the 1st due to ventricular fibrillation.

I was 61 years old.

(Born February 17, 1960).

Mr. Fuse joined Kirin Brewery in 1982, and became the president of Kirin Brewery in 2015 after working as the president of the Osaka branch and the president of Koiwai Dairy Products, a group company.

Since August, he has also served as chairman of the Beer Brewery Association, an industry group of beer makers.

Mr. Fuse, who had a long sales department, recovered his business performance by making efforts to introduce new products and leverage the main brands, while sales were sluggish due to so-called “beer away”.

In Corona, we responded to changes in the business environment by selling craft beer and products that allow customers to enjoy the taste of draft beer at home in response to sluggish sales for commercial use due to restaurant closures and shortened business hours. I was setting out a strategy.

According to the company, Mr. Fuse died at a hospital in Tokyo on the 1st of this month due to ventricular fibrillation.

I was 61 years old.

The company plans to hold a "farewell party" at a later date.

For the time being, the successor president will be Yoshinori Isozaki, president of the holding company Kirin Holdings.
