At the regular policy briefing of the State Council of China held on the afternoon of the 3rd, facing media questions, Wang Shouwen, Vice Minister of Commerce and Deputy Representative of International Trade Negotiations, confidently introduced the achievements of China's Pilot Free Trade Zone.

  "In the first seven months of this year, the 21 pilot free trade zones accounted for 16.6% of the country's import and export volume, an increase of 42% year-on-year." Wang Shouwen said, "This rate is more than 10 percentage points higher than the national average."

  "In actual use of foreign capital, the 21 pilot free trade zones accounted for 17% of the country's total, a year-on-year increase of 33.5%, which is also several percentage points higher than the increase in the country's absorption of foreign capital."

  He said that these outstanding achievements are inseparable from the strong support of the policy system.

For example, in terms of investment, the Pilot Free Trade Zone has launched the country’s first negative list of foreign investment access. Special management measures have been reduced from 190 items at the beginning to 30 items now, and the level of openness is constantly improving; in the field of trade, the whole country The first international trade "single window" was also launched in the pilot free trade zone, which greatly improved the degree of trade facilitation.
