According to him, this year a fairly large volume of fish was caught in the country - about 500 thousand tons (in 2020 there were about 300 thousand tons).

“That is, the volume of supply will be significant.

And it is clear that one way or another the price of red fish and caviar will decrease, ”Shestakov told RBC.

He explained that so far this is not happening, since the fishing season is only coming to an end and logistically, not all products have entered the domestic market in bulk.

Earlier, the chairman of the Fish Union, Alexander Panin, also expressed the opinion that in October fresh red caviar should reach stores in the central part of Russia in large quantities and prices for it will slightly decrease.
