Novak spoke about oil and gas reserves in the Arctic

Novak said that "there is great potential in the Arctic zone."

“If we talk about the resources in the water area alone, these are 15 billion tons of oil and about 100 trillion cubic meters of gas,” Novak quoted TASS as saying.

According to him, "this will be enough for tens, hundreds of years, if suddenly they are needed and this will correspond to economic feasibility."

In July, Stanislav Mitrakhovich, a leading expert of the National Energy Security Fund, lecturer at the Financial University under the Government of Russia, in an interview with FBA "Economics Today" said that Russia's return to the pre-pandemic level in terms of oil production will depend on the viability of the stopped fields.
