The Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the largest district cooling services provider in the world, has signed an agreement to supply the Meydan City project with a cooling capacity of 382,000 tons, covering 750 buildings, and acquiring the existing cooling plant at a value of 100 million dirhams. The supply and acquisition agreement stipulates that Empower will provide the entire “Meydan City” with environmentally friendly district cooling services, and meet the needs of existing projects and under development, which will number 750 buildings in total, most notably the projects: “Meydan One”, “Meydan Avenue”, and “Meydan Avenue” Royal Pearl, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum City - District 1, Horizon Square, and Meydan Business Park.
