A new survey conducted by Bayt.com, in cooperation with YouGov, a market research organization, showed that 60% of professionals in the UAE are satisfied with working hours, followed by work culture (52%) and the level of work-life balance (51%). ).

The survey showed that the sectors of health care and medical services (15%), engineering and design (12%), and banking, financial and accounting services (9%), the most sectors that attract the attention of job seekers.

The government and civil service sectors (37%), oil, gas and petrochemicals (20%), information technology, Internet and e-commerce (17%), emerged as the best sectors in terms of providing the best balance between professional and personal life.

This data will help employers and recruitment experts to develop strategies that contribute to enhancing employee satisfaction and attracting more job seekers.”

The government and civil service sectors (31%), followed by the army, defense and police sectors (27%), and oil, gas and petrochemicals (23%) occupied the top three positions in terms of providing the best job security in light of the current economic situation.

The data also showed that the banking, financial and accounting services sector is the most employed for recent graduates (by 22%), followed by the government and civil service sector (19%).

On the other hand, the health care and medical services sectors (26%), and banking, financial and accounting services (25%) emerged as the most attractive sectors for females.

While the government and civil service sectors (33%), the army, defense and police (27%) emerged as the most attractive sectors for local talent.

The oil, gas and petrochemical sector (29%) is the best sector in terms of providing job growth opportunities, followed by the information technology, Internet and e-commerce sector (21%).

The survey also revealed that 23% of professionals in the UAE changed their work sector at least once during the past two years, with better career advancement opportunities (46%), better salaries (43%), and lack of recognition (22%) as the most important reasons prompted them to change their sector.

On the other hand, about six out of 10 professionals in the country (56%) are considering changing the sector in which they work in the next few months, with better salary (56%) and better career advancement opportunities (51%) as the most important reasons for doing so.

The oil, gas and petrochemical sector (11%) emerged as the most attractive sector for professionals who are considering changing their sector.
