The Vice President of International Participations at Expo 2020 Dubai, Hind Al Owais, confirmed that the distinguished position that Emirati women have reached and the achievements they have achieved have made them a success story to emulate and a beacon of hope for a better tomorrow for women who are still striving to prove their entitlement to excellence and success.

Hind Al Owais said in statements, on the occasion of Emirati Women's Day, which falls today, that the achievements and successes of Emirati women have contributed to strengthening the UAE's leading position among the countries of the world, a cause for pride.

She added that the high status of Emirati women today at the local and global levels comes primarily thanks to the solid foundations laid by the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and thanks to the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, "Mother of the Emirates". In addition to the efforts and support of the wise leadership, which considered that building the human being without discrimination is the real wealth of the state, and was keen to give Emirati women their full opportunity without diminishing to prove themselves at all levels and in various fields.

The Vice President of International Participations at Expo 2020 Dubai confirmed that “Expo has allocated a pavilion for women, for the first time, in more than 50 years, in the history of the event, in cooperation with (Cartier), based on the firm belief that building a prosperous and sustainable future. It cannot be achieved without women’s empowerment and gender equality.”

She pointed out that the Women's Pavilion is entitled "New Horizons" to acquaint visitors with the pivotal role that women have played from the dawn of history to the present, and also to highlight the essential contributions made by women to the advancement of societies, which confirm that when women flourish, humanity flourishes.

She explained that "the issue of women's empowerment is not the task of governments or organizations alone, but requires meaningful and constructive partnerships, and this is what we aim at (Expo 2020 Dubai), as an international event that brings together countries, organizations and private sector institutions."
