Plus Ultra Lineas Aereas has responded in a statement to the request made by the Popular Party before the court of instruction number 15 of Madrid to agree to "the constitution of a movable mortgage" on the company's aircraft.
In this document, the company shows its "surprise" at the measure, since, as they explain, they do not own aircraft.
The PP, which acts as a popular prosecution in the case, would have submitted a letter on August 11 to request this precautionary measure to avoid patrimonial damage to the State.
In its statement, collected by Europa Press, Plus Ultra ensures that it has always recognized "the operating leasing system" of its fleet.
What's more, remember that this is on the record of financial aid.
Likewise, the airline recalled that this fleet acquisition system is "very common in the air transport industry" and that it is less and less common to find owned aircraft.
The company then defends itself by ensuring that the movement is part of a strategy that uses its name "as a thrown weapon in a political battle" from which they distance themselves.
This, they regret, generates "media noise" and causes "very serious and unfair" damage to their reputation.
