Welcome to episode 174 of the FAZ Objection Podcast!

In our column "What was" with Pia Lorenz we talk about the special session of the Bundestag, in which the parliament had to deal with the three big crises of the year: Afghanistan, the flood crisis fund and the new edition of the "epidemic situation of national scope".

We are also discussing the judgment of the Federal Court of Justice on the right-wing terror network NSU.

Our topic of the week this time is the rail strike: First, the labor law professor Lena Rudkowski explains the new collective bargaining law, which has a major impact on the rail strike, as well as the legislator's options for restricting the right to strike in public services.

In addition, GDL boss Claus Weselsky has a say.

In the end, Pia Lorenz gives a little preview of the week in the "What's coming" section and presents the week's "Just Judgment".

And finally, in our new section "Objection off the record", we answer questions from our listeners.
