In 2011, a British team decided to develop a special Skoda Octavia to break speed records.

Based on an RS 2.0 turbo petrol engine, it has been lightened and optimized in terms of transmission, supercharging and received forged connecting rods.

Equipped with a large turbo blowing harder, optimized injectors and the box of a Greenline model, the sedan developed the impressive power of 600 hp!

To get all this cavalry through, a limited slip differential was fitted to the front drive wheels.

On Bonneville Lake, the car reached a speed of 227.080 miles per hour, or nearly 366 km / h.

Braked by a parachute and fitted with solid wheels to improve aerodynamics, the Octavia prepared in England has fully succeeded in its bet.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this record, Skoda England has just restored the sedan to nine, which is once again roadworthy.
