In line with the increase in tobacco tax in October, JT = Japan Tobacco has decided to raise the price of most brands of heat-not-burn tobacco by 30 yen per box.
According to the announcement, JT decided to raise the price of 50 heat-not-burn tobacco brands by 30 yen per box in line with the increase in tobacco tax in October, and applied to the Ministry of Finance on the 23rd.
The main brands are "Mevius Plume Tech Plus Exclusive" from 540 yen to 570 yen, and "Mevius Plume Tech Plus Exclusive" from 550 yen to 580 yen.
JT has already applied for price increases for 173 brands such as cigarettes and cigars, and if approved, they will raise prices from October 1st.
