Yesterday, Dubai Industrial City announced the signing of an agreement with the Himalaya Wellness Company to build an advanced plant for herbal medicines at a cost of 120 million dirhams, which will provide hundreds of specialized job opportunities and export its products to more than 100 countries, at a time when Centara Hotels and Resorts revealed , a hotel operator in Thailand, announced the opening date of Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai in the “Deira Islands” starting from October 2021, noting that the resort is the group’s first destination in the UAE, and the third in the world after Thailand and Vietnam.

In detail, Dubai Industrial City announced the signing of an agreement with the Himalaya Wellness Company to build an advanced plant for herbal medicines at a cost of 120 million dirhams, which will provide hundreds of specialized job opportunities, and annually produce three billion medicinal tablets, 15 million bottles of syrup, and three million tubes of ointment. Its products are exported to more than 100 countries.

A statement issued yesterday stated that the commercial production of the new facility will start in the first quarter of 2024, and the factory will be built according to the highest standards approved by the World Health Organization and the US Food and Drug Administration, and in accordance with good manufacturing practices approved by the European Medicines Agency, in line with global confidence. It provides high-quality Emirati products, enhances medical security, and supports the national strategy for industry and advanced technology represented by the “300 billion project.”

The plant extends over an area of ​​760,000 square feet, to be the first herbal medicine facility of three facilities that Himalaya will build in Dubai Industrial City, followed in the future by two facilities, one for personal care products, and the other for functional foods that promote health.

Centara Mirage Beach Dubai, with its distinctive waterfront, includes 607 hotel rooms and suites, equipped with a balcony overlooking the sea or the city.
