China News Service, Guangzhou, August 13 (Tang Guijiang, Chen Lin, Lü Meijin) According to data released by the Guangdong Branch of the General Administration of Customs on the 13th, from January to July this year, Guangdong’s foreign trade imports and exports were 4.49 trillion yuan (RMB, the same below), a year-on-year increase 20.5%; during the same period, Guangdong’s foreign trade with ASEAN increased by 22% year-on-year, and ASEAN is Guangdong’s largest foreign trade partner.

  Guangdong's imports and exports have achieved positive growth for 9 consecutive months.

In July this year, Guangdong's foreign trade import and export amounted to 691.55 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7% year-on-year. This is the ninth consecutive month of positive growth in the province since November 2020.

  The proportion of general trade import and export increased.

From January to July, Guangdong used general trade to import and export 2.36 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.3%, and its share in Guangdong's total foreign trade value increased to 52.5%.

  The import and export growth of private enterprises is the fastest.

From January to July, the import and export of private enterprises in Guangdong amounted to 2.55 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.4%. The proportion of Guangdong's total foreign trade value increased to 56.8%, stably ranking Guangdong's largest foreign trade business entity.

  Both imports and exports with major trading partners maintained double-digit growth.

From January to July, Guangdong’s imports and exports to ASEAN were 692.84 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22%; to Hong Kong, China, 608.16 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.9%; to the United States, 502.57 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%; 21.9%; 351.53 billion yuan to Taiwan, China, an increase of 22.4% year-on-year.

  In terms of exports, the proportion of Guangdong's exports of mechanical and electrical products has increased.

From January to July, Guangdong exported 1.87 trillion yuan of mechanical and electrical products, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%, and its share in Guangdong's total export value increased to 68.9%.

In terms of imports, imports of integrated circuits account for over 30%.

From January to July, Guangdong imported 592.44 billion yuan of integrated circuits, a year-on-year increase of 25%, accounting for 33.4% of Guangdong's total imports in the same period.
