Alec Energy Company announced the signing of a contract to provide solar photovoltaic solutions for the new headquarters of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) in the Al Jaddaf area, which is called Al Sheraa.

A statement issued yesterday stated that in order to achieve the maximum benefit from solar energy solutions, "Alec Energy" provided a multi-level solution that includes about 21,150 square meters of photovoltaic panels on the roof of the building, and more than 1,000 square meters of photovoltaic panels integrated into the building facade. In addition to about 2,000 square meters of glass wings, fiber optic collectors, shaded photovoltaic panels and “solar trees”, which will have a combined production capacity upon completion of 4.8 megawatts, ensuring that the new headquarters will reach its net-zero goals.

For his part, General Manager of Alec Energy, James Stewart, said that winning this project is a clear confirmation of Alec Energy's ability to provide more innovative and cost-effective solutions to meet and exceed the ambitious goals set by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority for the building.

It is noteworthy that the area of ​​the "Al Sheraa" building exceeds two million square feet, and the building will include 15 floors, in addition to a basement and five floors for parking, with a capacity of 5,000 people.
