The Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, Saeed Sultan Al Suwaidi, confirmed the priority of connecting electricity and water to all new mosques in Sharjah, after completing the construction and connection procedures, under the direct directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al-Suwaidi said, "The authority is in the process of implementing an electronic portal for government agencies, through which service requests are submitted, completed and activated as quickly as possible, without reviewing offices, which saves time and effort, and contributes to facilitating procedures," noting that coordination with the Islamic Affairs Department continues to provide The best services in mosques, and work to take all measures to cooperate in the field of rationalizing consumption, installing water-saving parts and tools, and continuous maintenance of them, expanding the establishment of water recycling projects and using them in parcel boxes, and replacing lamps with energy-saving ones. This came during the honoring of the Sharjah Islamic Affairs Department of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, for achieving the electrical current for 29 new mosques in the city of Sharjah as soon as possible, and opening and operating them according to the best specifications that take into account security and safety procedures, so that citizens and residents can perform prayers, and encourage donors to build more of the new mosques.Saeed Sultan Al-Suwaidi received the honorary shield from the delegation of the Islamic Affairs Department, headed by the head of the department, Abdullah Khalifa Ya`rouf Al-Sabousi.
