In the report, which Emirates Today obtained, the company stated that the number of hotel rooms under planning and construction in the UAE market at the end of the first quarter of 2021 amounted to 42,327 rooms within 154 hotel projects.

The company pointed out that the number of hotel projects under construction and planning in the region decreased to 534 projects, comprising in total 153,225 hotel rooms, a decrease of about 12% in relation to the number of projects, and 11% of hotel rooms on an annual basis.
