The Bank of England has kept the discount rate at 0.1%, according to the regulator's website.
"The Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee voted unanimously to keep the bank rate at 0.1%," the statement said.
Earlier, the US Federal Reserve System (FRS), following the meeting, kept the base interest rate at the level of 0-0.25% per annum.
