The city’s minimum wage was raised to 2320 yuan

News from our newspaper (reporter Xie Li) A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned from the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau that in order to guarantee the basic livelihood of workers, the minimum wage standard in Beijing has been officially raised from August 1.

Among them, the monthly minimum wage was adjusted from 2,200 yuan to 2,320 yuan, an increase of 120 yuan.

The hourly minimum wage standard for part-time employees is 25.3 yuan/hour, and the hourly minimum wage standard for part-time employees is 59 yuan/hour on statutory holidays.

It is understood that the minimum wage guarantee system is a labor and social security system in my country.

The minimum wage standard is the state in order to protect the basic life of workers. When workers provide normal labor, it is mandatory to stipulate the minimum wage that employers must pay to workers.

The wage paid by the employer to the laborer shall not be lower than the local minimum wage standard.

According to Beijing’s regulations, the following items are not part of the minimum wage standard, and employers should pay separately according to regulations: Workers’ allowances under special working environments and conditions such as mid-shift, night shift, high temperature, low temperature, underground, toxic and hazardous conditions, etc. ; Overtime and extra wages that workers deserve; various social insurance premiums and housing provident funds that should be paid by individual workers; other incomes that are not included in the minimum wage standard according to national and municipal regulations.

This means that Beijing’s minimum wage standard refers to the “net income” that employees get.

In addition, the unemployment insurance premiums of employees, sick leave wages during the medical treatment period, and the basic living expenses of employees in the case of suspension of work or business closure of the unit will increase in accordance with the adjustment of the minimum wage standard.
