2,500 Emirates customers completed their procedures from home

More than 2,500 Emirates customers added to their bookings the option of home check-in during the month of July.

This innovative service, provided by the carrier, allowed passengers departing from Dubai to finish their procedures quickly, efficiently and in complete comfort in their homes, and enjoy a quick and smooth journey through the airport.

At the height of summer travel from the UAE in July, home check-in services were usually booked for groups of four to five people.

As for the most popular destinations for those who choose this service, they are Amman (Jordan), Beirut (Lebanon) and Male (Maldives).

Thursdays and long weekends were particularly busy, as the daily rate of home check-in reached 130, and more than 150 pieces of baggage were transported to the airport from various regions of Dubai.

And confirming the popularity of the service, 400 home check-in processes were carried out for customers who had previously tried these facilities.

Specialized agents complete travel procedures safely and comfortably at home, issue boarding passes, weigh and sterilize luggage, put identification stickers on them, and ensure that they are delivered to the airport and loaded onto the plane.

Each piece of baggage is disinfected with a protective film that lasts up to 72 hours.

Emirates customers can easily book the check-in service from their homes on emirates.com at least 24 hours before the flight departure and receive the service 8 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Customers also have the option to book Marhaba Express services for assistance, pass through the airport and complete contactless procedures.

In addition, travelers can also book a pre-travel COVID-19 test, where a qualified medical professional will perform a swab test before completing home travel procedures, and digitally send the results to customers.

All passengers who test negative will receive a medical certificate within 24 to 48 hours to meet the entry instructions to their destinations.

As for customers coming to Dubai, they can request the arrival and departure service that enables them to go directly to the house, while Emirates Airlines agents receive their luggage, clear it from customs and sterilize it, and then deliver it directly to their doorsteps.

Emirates offers a home check-in service through dnata's subsidiary DUBZ, the baggage technology and logistics company.

Headquartered in Dubai, DUBZ provides innovative and unique solutions to travelers, ensuring a safe and smooth travel experience.
