On July 30, the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region held a press conference in Beijing on Xinjiang-related issues.
At the press conference, Xu Guixiang, a spokesperson for the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said that in recent years, Xinjiang has been socially stable and its people have lived and worked in peace and contentment. There have been no violent terrorist incidents (incidents) for more than four consecutive years.
At present, Xinjiang's stable dividend is being fully released, and the tourism industry is showing a "blowout" development.
According to Xu Guixiang, the number of Chinese and foreign tourists to Xinjiang broke the record, reaching 213 million in 2019, an increase of 41.96% year-on-year, of which 1,787,800 inbound tourists.
After the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia, the tourism industry has been affected to a certain extent. However, with the normalization of Xinjiang's epidemic prevention and control work, the new crown pneumonia epidemic has been effectively controlled and the tourism industry has gradually recovered.
In 2020, Xinjiang has reached 158 million Chinese and foreign tourists, of which about 3,000 are foreign tourists living in China.
In the first half of this year, Xinjiang received 88,040,400 tourists, including thousands of foreign tourists living in China.
