According to the announcement, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has selected 21 airports nationwide from Hokkaido to Okinawa, including Haneda Airport and Narita Airport, as "Priority Survey Airports" to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.



The country has set a goal to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from airports nationwide to zero by 2030.



To achieve this goal, the "Priority Survey Airport" will make a decarbonization plan, such as the development of solar power generation, energy saving of terminal buildings, and the introduction of electric vehicles, and will proceed with priority efforts. That is.



After that, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism will verify how much each airport can reduce carbon dioxide emissions, and will consider necessary support measures by November.



The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism wants to improve the effectiveness of a series of initiatives and expand it to 97 airports nationwide with the aim of achieving the goal with certainty.
