Benny Gantz is traveling to Paris to brief French authorities on verifications on the sale of Pegasus software by the NSO group, according to a statement released by the Israeli Defense Ministry.

The Israeli government has set up an inter-agency commission to verify that the license to sell the software, considered an offensive cybersecurity product, has been respected.

For its part, the Knesset, the Israeli parliament, has launched an investigation into the alleged use of Pegasus by some states to hack the phones of figures such as French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Israeli Defense Minister intends to raise strategic and security issues during his meeting with Florence Parly.

Benny Gantz particularly wishes to address the situation in Lebanon and the Iranian nuclear issue in which the Hebrew state is totally opposed to an agreement.
