Data from the corporation, obtained by Emirates Today, showed that airlines in the Middle East will occupy more than 2.95 million seats during the same week, pointing out that the UAE market accounts for about 23.5% of the total capacity occupied by airlines in the region as a whole.

Globally, seat capacity during the same week reached about 82.7 million scheduled seats on international flights, at a time when airlines continue to adjust their schedules, and in many cases they adjust capacity for the next 60 days while trying to read the demand.

The data indicated the removal of about two million seats for the month of July, and the removal of an additional 6.8 million seats in August, with the continued closure of major markets around the world, as the current global airline capacity is 22% less than January 2020 levels, and about 30% less than the same week. in July 2019.
