Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport conducted a full investigation of 710,000 apartment transactions for 10 months from February last year.

Reports higher than the actual transaction price are in accordance with the point that there is a suspicion of market disturbance by signing and then canceling a transaction contract to raise the market price. In fact, a lot of such cases have been caught.

Within the regulated area, there were a whopping 821 cases in which a specific person participated in the transaction and then canceled the transaction.

Suspicion of an attempt to 'float real transactions' is high, but there were 69 cases of suspected violations of laws and regulations.

A typical example is a case in which a real estate agent bought a sister-in-law's 240 million won apartment at a high price under their children's name, then canceled the purchase report and sold it to another person at 350 million won to make a profit of 110 million won.

In some cases, after a brokerage assistant reported a purchase at a new price in his/her name, it was sold at a high price of 30 million won to a third party.

This price manipulation also affected the actual real estate market price.

In the case of an apartment in Namyangju, 28 suspicious transactions occurred, resulting in a 17% increase in apartment prices.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport plans to request the police to investigate suspected cases of crime and notify the National Tax Service of suspected tax evasion.
