The production of 30 copies of the Short Wheelbase, the first model of the small British manufacturer RML, will begin next October.

It takes on the features of one of the most beautiful and revered automobiles in history: the Ferrari 250 GT SWB from the 1960s. But don't believe that RML has committed the sacrilege of submitting a real 250 to the restomod concept. , nor that it is a replica placed on an unworthy basis.

Under this completely recreated bodywork hides a chassis and mechanics of 550 Maranello, the GT that Ferrari produced in the 90s. The Short Wheel Base therefore has under the hood a V12 of 485 hp, which allows it to shoot down the 0-100 km / h in 4.1 seconds and clock in at 296 km / h.

A magnificent tribute to the 250, with all the nobility it takes, but we know that Ferrari very jealously protects its copyrights.

The RML Short Wheelbase will therefore not be able to bear any sign recalling the little horse.

The price of this beautiful machine?

We don't know.

But surely much less than a real Ferrari 250 GT SWB, which usually changes hands for several million euros.
