On July 19, Chinanews published the sixth batch of "APP Notices on Infringements of User Rights and Interests" on the website of the Ministry of Electric Industry and Information Technology on the 19th of 2021.

The report pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently organized a third-party testing agency to conduct special inspections on mobile phone applications such as medical and health, e-commerce, and utility tools that users have reported more problems, and have notified relevant companies to make rectifications.

Up to now, there are still 71 APPs that have not been rectified (see the attachment below for details).

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s APP rectification actions, the communications administrations actively carried out mobile phone application software supervision and inspection. The communications administrations of Liaoning Province, Zhejiang Province, Guangdong Province, Sichuan Province, and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region found that 74 APPs had not been rectified.

The above-mentioned 145 APPs should complete the rectification and implementation work before July 26. If the rectification is not completed within the time limit, relevant disposal work will be organized and carried out in accordance with laws and regulations.
