While its electric models - the Mach-e SUV and the F150 Lightning pickup - are already enjoying huge success, Ford has launched a survey to find out what drivers would miss most when conventional engines cease to exist, pushed out. by the electric car.

It turns out that 20% of respondents say that the smell of gasoline is what they will miss most of all, and even 70% of respondents say they will miss it "to some extent".

With the help of a perfume specialist, Ford therefore created Mach-Eau (does not call itself "macho" but "mak-o"), a perfume which, according to the press release, "dispenses a subtle fragrance of petrol, with hints of metal and smoke, a hint of rubber, and some animal undertones (probably Mustang reference).

The perfume was presented very officially at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

But… it is not marketed.

So for now, this is a fun publicity stunt.
