In 2019, China's cross-border e-commerce retail import and export volume reached 186.21 billion yuan, five times that of 2015. Enterprises in the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone have built more than 1,200 overseas warehouses, and their services cover the world.
Cross-border e-commerce has become a new driving force for cultivating economic growth under the new normal, and a new engine for China's foreign trade innovation and development, digital transformation and upgrading.
As of the end of 2020, there are 24 comprehensive cross-border e-commerce pilot zones in the Yangtze River Delta, accounting for more than one-fifth of the national share.
With the signing of the RCEP agreement, a series of policies such as the further opening of cross-border e-commerce import pilots have been introduced, the extensive use of digital technology, based on the background of the "dual cycle" of domestic and international development, the Yangtze River Delta is the most active and most open-ended economy in China , One of the regions with the strongest innovation capabilities, will surely become an important region for the development of cross-border e-commerce in China.
However, the talent training and resource advantages of cross-border e-commerce in the inland areas of the Yangtze River Delta lag behind the development of the industry. Obstacles to the circulation of elements, inefficient allocation of resources, and lack of professional talents have become the main factors restricting the development of the industry.
