On July 18, the 341.31-meter-long floating production and storage vessel "SEPTIBA", led by five pilots from the Nantong Pilot Station of the Yangtze River Pilot Center, used the "inverted tow" piloting method to go out of the river, refreshing the Yangtze River's "inverted" "Tow" fleet record.

The "SEPTIBA" vessel was built by China Merchants Heavy Industries (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. for the Dutch floating production, storage and offloading vessel operator SBM Offshore. It integrates production, oil storage, and oil offloading functions. It is also known as an "offshore oil refinery".

The ship has a total length of 341.31 meters, a profile width of 60 meters, a profile depth of 33.5 meters, and a maximum height of 82.35 meters above the water surface. It has a no-load displacement of nearly 100,000 tons, a full-load displacement of more than 460,000 tons, and an oil storage capacity of 2 million barrels. Floating production storage and unloading device.

It is reported that the total length of the towing formation reached 634 meters and the maximum width reached 96 meters. This is the first time that such a behemoth has been piloted in the Yangtze River by "reverse towing".
