As we know, one of the problems of electric cars in traffic, and particularly for pedestrians and cyclists, concerns the lack of noise.

To remedy this, manufacturers are gradually equipping their vehicles with a “sound signature”.

At Nissan, it is called Canto and has been accompanying the Leaf since the start of this summer.

In the future, Canto will equip all the brand's electric vehicles.

Created by Nissan in Japan, Canto has been adapted to the brand's European technical center using a specific spectrum of sound palettes.

The sound has been dialed in to ensure that it varies in timbre and volume depending on whether the car is accelerating, decelerating, or backing up.

It is activated automatically up to 30 km / h.
