On July 15, the lattice girder on the deck of the Shawei Zuojiang Extra Large Bridge, the world’s largest span highway steel tube concrete basket arch bridge under construction, was successfully closed.
It is reported that the Shawei Zuojiang Bridge is located near Shawei Village, Longtou Township, Fusui County, Chongzuo City, with a total length of 968.5m. It is an extra large bridge across the Zuojiang River on the expressway from Nanning Wuxu International Airport to Long'an. The total investment is 3.4. 100 million yuan, the main bridge is a 360m span-through steel tube concrete basket arch bridge, with a design speed of 120km/h, with two-way four lanes, sidewalks on both sides, and a main bridge deck width of 38.5m.
At present, 260 million yuan of construction of the Zuojiang Bridge in Shawei has been completed.
The smooth closing of the lattice beams on the bridge indicates that the steel structure of the main stress system of the Shawei Zuojiang Bridge has been fully installed, realizing the north-south connection of the main bridge, laying a solid foundation for the opening of Nanning Wuxu International Airport to Long'an Expressway by the end of 2021 basis.
