On the 15th, the National Bureau of Statistics announced the semi-annual report on the Chinese economy for 2021.

For young people, how do they understand data and capture opportunities?

The spokesperson of the National Bureau of Statistics, Fu Linghui, said in the CCTV News "Relativity" program that in the process of China's economic transformation and upgrading, the rapid growth of new industries, new formats and new products represents an important development direction in the future.

For example, high-tech industries, service industries, especially sports, fitness, and elderly care, which are closely related to people's lives, actually have great development prospects.

According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first half of the year, the added value of high-tech manufacturing above designated size increased by an average of 13.2% in two years, an increase of 0.9% over the first quarter.

From January to May, the total profit of high-tech service enterprises above designated size increased by 27.4% year-on-year, and the two-year average growth rate was 12.5%, which was 4.2 percentage points faster than that of the entire service industry above designated size.

In terms of products, in the first half of the year, the output of new energy vehicles, industrial robots, and integrated circuits all maintained rapid growth year-on-year.

In addition, when it comes to employment choices for young people, Chen Wenling, chief economist of the China International Economic Exchange Center, believes that we can start from industries and technologies that are urgently needed for China's development, break through China's "stuck neck" technology, and make up for shortcomings.

Economist Lian Ping added that young people should closely integrate their career plans with the country's development plans.

"Including science and technology, education and other fields, there is a huge shortage of talents, and there is a lot of room for exercise."
