The ministry noted that limiting the capacity of pumping gas through the pipeline does not pose a threat to Germany.

Earlier, the EU court upheld the decision to limit the capacity of the OPAL gas pipeline by 50% at the request of Poland.

The court ruling states that this was done "on the basis of the principle of energy solidarity."
