As TASS specifies, the merger will take place only in those municipalities where the share of Magnit does not exceed 25%, that is, in 53 municipalities 142 Dixy stores will not be merged with Magnit.
In addition, according to the document, in 22 municipalities the combined market share of Magnit and Dixy should be reduced within a year and not exceed 35%.
In May, Magnit agreed on the possibility of acquiring Dixy at a cost of 92.4 billion rubles by 31 August with the option of extending this period by a month. It was reported that the retailer intends to keep the chain's brand.
