Emirates SkyCargo transports 247 horses from Liege to Tokyo

Emirates Air Cargo, the cargo arm of Emirates Airlines, stated that it operates eight charter flights to transport 247 horses from Liege to Tokyo, noting that the first flights carrying 36 horses arrived at the “Tokyo Haneda” airport recently. The other seven flights arrive successively.

In a statement today, the carrier stated that it uses Boeing 777F aircraft on these flights, which are capable of transporting about 100 tons of goods on each flight, noting that it is working in cooperation with the international company, Biden Bladestock, which specializes in transporting horses.

She explained that the horses travel within platforms designed specifically for them, where 131 platforms are used to transport 247 horses, accompanied by 59 supervisors on the eight trips to ensure the horses are cared for, fed and watered well during the trip from Liege to Haneda, with a short stop in Dubai, in addition to 20 tons of food and drinks. and 100 tons of special equipment.

It is noteworthy that the Emirates fleet includes modern cargo planes and has a professional team to ensure that the horses enjoy a comfortable and stress-free flying experience.
