flydubai adjusts its orders for Boeing aircraft

A spokesman for "Fly Dubai" stated that the carrier reached an agreement with the American aircraft manufacturer "Boeing", as it amended its orders for aircraft that were placed in 2013 and 2017.

The spokesman said that "flydubai" will reduce the total number of aircraft it will receive by 65 aircraft to 172 aircraft, after there were 237 aircraft on order.

He added that the airline received two Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft in June, and that 11 more aircraft will join the fleet by the end of this year.

The changes to flydubai's aircraft order come after a review of its fleet plans in line with the company's strategy to rebuild the travel sector in the wake of the "Covid-19" pandemic and the changing dynamics of the network of "flydubai" destinations.
