China News Agency, Beijing, July 12 (Reporter Yu Lixiao) Shell Research Institute released the "2021 College Student Real Estate Broker Career Survey Report" on the 12th, showing that in the past three years, the scale of college students' real estate broker career has continued to expand; Beijing , Shanghai has a bachelor's degree accounted for more than 60%; nearly 40% have realized their own house purchase; 70% of real estate agents are confident in their career development.

  With the rapid development of the real estate brokerage industry, many college graduates are pouring into the industry.

Based on more than 130,000 survey data of college student real estate agents, the report explores the development of college student real estate agents across the country from the dimensions of career status, talent profile, and career development.

  In recent years, the real estate brokerage industry has continued to attract college graduates to join.

According to data from the Shell Research Institute, as of June 2021, Shell Connect’s brokers and college student brokers accounted for 35.7%, an increase of 53.2% compared to 2019.

  In terms of academic qualifications, the academic composition of college real estate agents across the country is dominated by junior college students, and the proportion of undergraduates is increasing year by year.

According to a survey conducted by the Shell Research Institute, 65.01% have a junior college degree, 34.39% have a bachelor degree, and 0.6% have a master or doctor degree.

There are differences in the educational background of brokers in different cities, with undergraduates accounting for over 60% of the real estate brokers in Beijing and Shanghai.

  The real estate brokerage industry has an ever-increasing demand for college students.

From 2017 to 2020, the demand for undergraduate and above talents in the real estate brokerage industry will increase from 26.7% to 40.2%.

  "Post-90s" is the key word of the national college student real estate agent group. According to data from the Shell Research Institute, the age groups with the largest proportions are 25-29 years old and 20-24 years old, accounting for 32.8% and 32.18% respectively.

Among the new first-tier cities, Chengdu has the most young college student agents, accounting for 80.18% of the 20-29 year olds.

  As the employment security and income structure of college student real estate agents across the country have become more reasonable, nearly 40% of college student real estate agents have purchased houses. The proportion of holding one house is 29.78%, and the proportion of holding two or more houses is 7.96%.

Among the new first-tier cities, college student brokers in Shenyang accounted for the highest proportion of their own houses, reaching 57.78%.

  Real estate agents in different cities have different income levels.

According to data from the Shell Research Institute, among the first-tier cities, Beijing and Shanghai have higher income levels for college student brokers, and 55.02% of them have an annual income of more than 100,000 yuan in Beijing.

  Regarding the future development of the real estate brokerage career, 74.94% of college student brokers are confident in their career development, with 65.04% of their lifelong careers and 68.82% willing to recommend their careers.

  Shell research analysis believes that in the future, the nation’s urban population will continue to expand, the stock housing market will become more active, and the demand for real estate brokerage services will continue to grow, which will attract more college students to join the industry.
