A survey conducted by the Bayt.com job site, in cooperation with the market research institute YouGov, showed that eight out of 10 professionals (80%) in the UAE have positive expectations for the next year, while the UAE emerged as the best country for professionals in the region to want to move. It was supported by 15% of the respondents in the survey.

The survey entitled “Aspirations of professionals in the Middle East and North Africa” revealed that 71% of professionals in the country set several professional goals for themselves, the most important of which were finding a new job (59%), learning new skills (50%), and obtaining a salary. higher (47%).

In terms of career development, the survey indicated that six out of 10 respondents (57%) believed they were qualified to occupy higher job positions, while nearly half (45%) said they would be willing to move to another department or area of ​​expertise to advance their career.

Motivation in the workplace

57% of the respondents to the "Professional Aspirations in the Middle East and North Africa" ​​survey said that they feel motivated at work, while 18% said that the workplace does not motivate them at all, while the rest of the respondents were neutral about it.

Availability of mentors and mentors is associated with enhanced levels of motivation at work, which was clearly reflected in the results, as 49% of respondents said they had either a mentor or someone to follow in their career.

When asked about factors that might increase their levels of motivation in the workplace, 56% of UAE respondents chose higher salary and benefits, followed by a better work-life balance (50%).
