Emirates Airlines resumes flights to Mauritius

Emirates Airlines announced today that it will resume service to the island of Mauritius, with two flights per week, starting from July 15, with the island gradually reopening its borders to international tourism.

The carrier said in a statement that it will restart its giant Airbus A380 aircraft to Mauritius, starting from the first of next August to meet the demand, while Emirates flights to the island will operate on Thursday and Saturday with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, starting from July 15.

She explained that flight "EK 701" will leave Dubai at 2:35 in the morning, arriving in Mauritius at 9:10 in the morning, and the return flight "EK704" will leave Mauritius on Friday and Sunday at 11:10 at night, and arrive in Dubai. The time is 5:45 the following morning (times are local time for both Dubai and Mauritius).

Mauritius had announced its intention to open its borders to receive vaccinated tourists and its citizens from July 15 to September 30, 2021.
