The commercial registration and licensing sector in Dubai Economy issued 3,393 licenses immediately during the first five months of this year, topped by licenses for professional activities, accounting for 60% of the total issued licenses, while the remaining percentage was distributed among the rest of the activities.

A report issued by the sector indicated that the immediate licenses issued from the beginning of 2021 until the end of last May were distributed according to the main areas in the Emirate of Dubai, as follows: The largest share was the Bur Dubai area with a total of 2562 licenses, then the Deira area with a total of 831 licenses.

The report added that those who had an immediate license, which covers more than 1,200 economic activities, during the period between January and May 2021, numbered 10,236 investors, of whom businessmen constituted about 73%.

The report indicated that the new immediate licenses were distributed according to the legal form, as follows: Limited liability companies topped 36%, followed by civil works with 35%, while the rest of the percentages were distributed to limited liability companies - single person and individual institutions.
