This weekend, the Élysée is hosting the Great Exhibition of "Made in France" to honor the companies that produce in our country.

Europe 1 went to meet the lingerie company Indiscrète for whom the invitation to this event marks recognition after difficult years.

"We feel so small that we say to ourselves 'it is not possible'!"

Head seamstress of the workshop of the lingerie company Indiscrète, Hélène tells the microphone of Europe 1 the immense pride she felt when the surprise fell in the letterbox.

Immense recognition after difficult years

Through this gathering, the government wants to make visible its fight to safeguard French industry and know-how. Selected from around 2,000 applications, the Indiscrète company will represent the department of Vienne. And it is the ultimate reward for the former executives of the Aubade brand who launched this company. Especially since their business has had its ups and downs too.

In 11 years, it has actually weathered many storms, notably with the suicide of its founder on its premises and a receivership.

But now is the time for rebirth thanks to a surge of solidarity coupled with an unexpected redemption.

And now with this invitation to the Élysée.

"We work a little more calmly and we find a little that family spirit that there was at the beginning, before everything that happened," comments Hélène soberly.

"These are French jobs"

For the co-founder Béatrice Mongella, this outstretched hand of the Élysée is a bit of a consecration for its production.

"It is not simply a knot placed on a bra, a strap or a staple ... Everything is made at the Chauvigny factory, in Vienne. It is a quality, a know-how. French jobs, ”she lists.

As for the future, Béatrice Mongella says she is "very cautious".

"And we also have a great thought for our partner who left us. It is an honor also in relation to him", she confides.

The company would like one day a new label to differentiate products made in France from A to Z. An approach that would promote their lingerie brand, the last to be 100% made in France.
