Prayers in Arabic, songs from the Armenian or Syriac liturgical tradition, all the components of the Lebanese Christian heritage were represented at the end of this day. "

Let us not tire of imploring from Heaven this peace which men are struggling to build on earth

", Pope Francis launched in his speech. A discourse both spiritual, inviting fraternity, and political in which the Pope launched an indictment against those who instrumentalize the country for personal ends.

Enough, the domination of party truths over the hopes of the people!"

It is enough to use Lebanon and the Middle East for foreign interests and profits!

The Lebanese must be given the opportunity to be protagonists of a better future, on their land and without abusive interference

 , ”he said.

urgent and stable solutions to the current economic, social and political crisis

”.

This message is addressed to young Lebanese, hoping that they "

receive attention and listen, because it is through them that the rebirth of the country passes

", as well as to the women of Lebanon so that they are better valued and involved in the decisions of the country.

Let animosities cease, let disagreements disappear, and let Lebanon begin to shine the light of peace again

 ", concluded Pope Francis.
