In the occupied West Bank, on the fourth consecutive day of protests, Palestinians are still mobilized on the streets of Hebron, Bethlehem and Ramallah to protest the death of famous human rights activist Nizar Banat, 43, then that he was being held by the Palestinian Authority.

 You can't talk to anyone here, you can't oppose anyone,

” she said. 

Those who speak, we silence them or we kill them, that's what happened to Nizar.

And this is not the first person to be killed by the Palestinian Authority, and it will not be the last.

That's what we're here for.

And that we ask the security forces and the president to leave.

A few minutes later, Fatah supporters marched.

While one group chants the departure of Mahmoud Abbas, the president, the other sings in his honor.

Then very quickly, violence.

Supporters of the president clash with demonstrators protesting the death of the famous activist.

A group of young women are taken to task.

They rip and smash their phones.

Several journalists are also attacked, their cameras or their Sim card, broken.

Scenes that further motivate the protesters' wish: an end to authoritarian rule, an end to the Palestinian Authority's crimes and an end to its corruption, they say.
