The effect of the coronavirus and the multiple lockdowns has not finished being felt on real estate.
According to a study carried out by the specialist site Meillagents.com in the 11 largest French cities, goods with a terrace or a balcony have seen their price explode: + 4.7% on average since March 2020, against only 0.6% for similar dwellings without these accesses to the outside.
A direct link with confinements
"The inhabitants of large cities remained locked in their homes [during confinement] and had a hard time not having easy access to the outside", analysis at the microphone of Europe 1 Thomas Lefebvre, the director of the 'study.
"Today, therefore, they are prepared to pay more to have access to a balcony or a terrace in their apartment."
