Statistics show that in the first five months, Guangxi's import and export to countries along the “Belt and Road” was 131.27 billion yuan, an increase of 39.9%, which was 12.5 percentage points higher than that of the whole country.
During the same period, Guangxi's import and export to ASEAN was 122.32 billion yuan, an increase of 43.2%.
In the first five months, Guangxi's foreign trade import and export general trade and bonded logistics increased at a faster rate. State-owned enterprises' imports and exports maintained rapid growth, and foreign-invested enterprises' imports and exports picked up.
Among them, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises was 36.44 billion yuan, an increase of 17.3%, which fell to an increase in May.
Regarding the types of import and export commodities (excluding border trade commodities), the import and export of mechanical and electrical products in Guangxi maintained rapid growth. The export of automatic data processing equipment and its parts and components in the first five months was 14.89 billion yuan, an increase of 42.4%.
The growth rate of automobile exports continued to accelerate, an increase of 240.3%, an increase of 30.4 percentage points over the previous four months.
