• Pilto, a new outdoor game, wants to establish itself among the flagship activities of this summer.

  • By team, the objective is to throw its six wooden planks so that as many of them as possible are placed on top of the others.

"Pilto" like "stack and be on top".

This is the name of a new activity that could ignite your next sunny picnics or aperitifs.

Inspired by Molkky and pétanque, this little outdoor game brings together "all the advantages without the disadvantages" of these summer essentials, assures its creator Claire Schiettecatte, 27 years old.

“You can play for two or up to six, with friends or with children, and on any terrain: beach, grass… even a double bed,” explains this New Nantes woman, an engineer by training. It is a game of skill rather simple, fast, with its dose of strategy and randomness. I also wanted something easy to carry. "

Pilto's rules are not (too) complicated, although we advise you to watch our video if you want to understand everything.

Divided into two teams, the players take turns throwing their six small wooden planks (called Pilts) on the ground with the aim of placing as many as possible above the others, whatever their colors.

But beware of false rebounds or errors of appreciation!

At the end, we count the points: one if there is only one Pilt which superimposes another, two if there are two below, etc ... And if there are several pile, we add the scores.

A game is played over four rounds, to keep the suspense until the end.

Made in France

Launched last year after a successful crowdfunding campaign, Pilto is made in Torfou (Maine-et-Loire), in French beech wood.

The pouches, meanwhile, are made from recycled sheets and made in Brittany.

While Claire Schiettecatte dreams of making it "a benchmark game", she assures us that Pilto has already sold more than a thousand copies.

Until then only available on the Internet (at a price of 39.90 euros), it has recently been on sale in a few Decathlon stores, and around sixty Fnacs.
