two days of marathon negotiations, the labor and management of the parcel delivery service tentatively reached an agreement on an arbitration plan prepared by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

It is known that the labor and management of the parcel delivery service, which has been negotiating for the second day in the National Assembly since 1:00 pm, have reached an agreement to allow couriers to step out of sorting work in January next year by increasing the input of sorting personnel in stages.

Prior to full implementation in January next year, from September 1, Lotte Global Logistics and Hanjin decided to add 1,000 additional sorting personnel each.

In addition, delivery companies have decided to work hard to prevent delivery drivers from working long hours so that their working hours do not exceed 60 hours a week.

The increase in courier costs due to overworked death prevention measures was calculated to be 170 won, and it was decided to distribute it rationally to courier companies, agencies, and delivery drivers.

However, the Post Office Courier Union, which accounts for more than half of the Courier Union, was unable to narrow the difference of opinion with the Post Office on the sorting issue, so we decided to discuss further.

According to the provisional agreement between the labor and management of the parcel delivery service, the possibility that the strike of the parcel delivery union, which entered the 8th day, will be withdrawn has increased.

Jin Kyung-ho, chairman of the parcel delivery union, will visit the delivery union members who are protesting at Yeouido Park, report the results of the negotiations, and discuss plans such as whether to withdraw from the strike in the future.
