The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi revealed the extension of the licenses of "Tajer Abu Dhabi", which include mobile carts for Emirati entrepreneurs, for a fourth year that ends at the end of December 2021, for those who previously obtained the license.
The department confirmed the temporary suspension of granting new licenses for the activity of mobile carts, especially food carts, due to the lack of sufficient places and the presence of a long waiting list at the present time.

The Director of the Commercial Licensing Department at the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, Muhammad Ali Al-Marar, said that the licenses of "Tajer Abu Dhabi", which include mobile vehicles, have been extended for a fourth year that ends at the end of December 2021, for those who previously obtained the license, referring the step to the repercussions of the Corona virus pandemic. (Covid-19).
Al-Marar explained that the “Abu Dhabi Merchant” licenses were available before the pandemic for a period of only three years, a maximum, indicating that they are available to Emirati entrepreneurs, with the possibility of adding a foreign partner, and it aims to support young Emirati entrepreneurs, to enter the field of trade for the first time, and help them practice Specific business activities at the lowest costs, with a small capital.
He added that the activity does not require any specific site to issue licenses, unlike the rest of the economic activities, which allows the emergence of new generations of Emirati traders and investors, and contributes to the economic cycle of the Emirate.

Al Marar pointed out that a new unit will be established in 2020 to provide free consultations to entrepreneurs, whether they are economic consultations related to economic activities in the emirate, their conditions, and fees, in order to successfully prepare feasibility studies for new projects, or they are legal advice related to various economic activities, stressing the achievement of more than 180 thousand transactions in this framework since the establishment of the unit until now.
