6.9 cm, wider by 1.7 cm but lower by 4.7 cm, than its predecessor, the new Volkswagen Multivan nevertheless retains its cubic shapes, guaranteeing an immense interior space.

Inspired by that of the Golf, its dashboard receives 2 screens of 10.25 '' and 10 '' respectively.

The big novelty of this 7th version of this iconic van is a central table fixed on rails.

It can slide back and forth so that it can be used on any row of seats.

Note that the tailgate and side doors are electric and can be opened by a movement of the foot.

The Multivan receives its share of driving aids, including the IQ Travel Assist, which allows semi-autonomous driving, and the Car2X communication system between cars.

With regard to its engines, Volkswagen has planned two 1.5 and 2.0 TSI petrol engines (136 or 154 hp), a 2.0 TDI diesel of 150 hp (in 2022) and a 1.4 TSI plug-in hybrid engine of 218 hp, all associated with the DSG double-clutch robotized gearbox.

The Multivan is expected to be marketed at the end of this year.
